Get started
- Step 1: What GameTerm does
GameTerm is a game character that helps you on your Mac. You talk to it, and it can do things for you.
- Step 2: Make an account
Type your email, open the link in your email, and choose a password.
- Step 3: Download the installer and install it
Download the installer, sign in with your browser, approve your Mac, and let it install.
- Step 4: Launch Arkey and open GameTerm
Arkey is the app that opens GameTerm. Sign in once, choose GameTerm, and press Open.
Use GameTerm
- Step 5: Pick a character and talk to it
Choose a character on Character Select, start a New Session, and type or speak to it.
- Step 6: The / commands
Type / in the message box to see six commands. Each one changes how the conversation works.
- Step 7: Pick a model
The model is the AI that writes the character's answers. You choose it on Character Select, when you have more than one.
- Step 10: Switch the language
GameTerm's Setup sets the language the character speaks. The website has its own language switch.
Permissions & connections
- Step 8: Permissions, and why they matter
GameTerm can run commands on your Mac. Permissions decide what it may do without asking you.
- Step 9: Spotify, controlling your Mac, and web search
Connect Spotify and Antigravity web search on your account page. Mac control is set in GameTerm and in macOS.
Advanced
- Step 11: Mod the harness
Add your own functions that the character can use, and tune how each character talks.
- Step 12: Use a stronger AI from another computer
Run the model on a second computer with a strong video card, and add it as a server in Arkey.
